FabLab Safety

    The FabLab is a facility where you can build and fabricate parts to turn your ideas into reality, allowing you to make projects you can think off. However, certain machines in the FabLab are dangerous if you do not know how to use them and you can easily harm not only yourself but others around you.
    Hence, when using the machines and tools inside the FabLab, it is everyone responsibility to use them appropriately and safely, to ensure everyone is safe when using FabLab. Below shows some examples of the safety information you are required to know before using the facilities inside the FabLabs.

In the case of an emergency

  • For SCDF or Ambulance service, call 995.
  • For Police, call 999.
  • Additionally, SP has an emergency hotline (6772 1234) that should be contacted if an accident occurs.
  • Name
  • Location of accident.
  • Type of emergency (e.g fire, violent bahaviour, chemical spill etc.)
  • Proper Attire

    When using the FabLab, proper attire must be worn at all times.
